For those submitting nonprofit stories, we ask that you
please follow these guidelines.
- We urge you to read through a page of
nonprofit stories,
designated as "NP" beside the links at the top of the story page.
- You'll notice that all stories are written
in the third person. In other words, write the story as if someone else is
writing about your company or organization, not you writing about yourself
or your organization. As an example, instead of a sentence saying, "Our (or
my) company provides.....", it should say something like "The company
provides", or "XYZ company provides...." Please follow this format
throughout the story. The only instance when the first person is used will
be a direct quote....."I'm proud to be a part of this community," says Mr.

- Please do not include any
contact/company information such as address, phone#, web/e-mail address,
hours of operation, etc. in the body of the story. Instead, please include
all contact information separately below the story text. See
example.
- Please submit stories in MS Word
(preferred), TXT, or RTF format as an attached file in your e-mail.
- All nonprofit stories are limited to
300 words or less.
- All stories are subject to approval by the
editor.
- Logos, photos, or graphics
submitted with stories are required to be 300dpi, CMYK color in TIF, JPG, EPS, or
PDF format. No logos, photos, or graphic images will be accepted in MS Word,
Publisher, Word Perfect, or Powerpoint documents. No low resolution
images from web sites will be accepted.

Please send your story in one e-mail with the subject of the e-mail stating
"Organization XXX Non profit story".... and any graphics (logos, photos,
etc) in a separate e-mail with the subject of the e-mail stating
"Organization XXX Non profit story graphics".
