More Than Just a Ballroom Dance Studio

Madison Ballroom Dance Studio is more than just a ballroom dance studio. The 1,870 square-foot dance floor has hosted fundraisers and wedding receptions, salsa and swing dances, shows and photo shoots. Co-owners Jennifer Covington and Traci Romine want their dance floor to support the community, so they have opened their Studio to several fundraisers: a group class and dance party for the American Cancer Society Relay for Life, all-day group classes for Studio 60 Fitness Center (located at the Senior Center), and lessons for two dance contests for H.E.A.L.S. (Health Establishments at Local Schools).

Madison Ballroom is available for a variety of events and special occasions, such as weddings. When the engaged couple chooses “their song”, Madison Ballroom can choreograph and teach them their first dance. This is also popular for mother-son, father-daughter, and bridal party dances. For wedding receptions with lots of dancing, the Studio is available for rent, and catering is available upon request.

In addition to offering these services, Madison Ballroom rents floor space to dancers for practice sessions, to independent instructors for private lessons, and to dance organizations for special events. Instructors in salsa, swing, and Argentine tango rent the dance floor for group classes, workshops, and even late-night dances. National champions from Birmingham and Nashville visit the Studio to provide local dancers with coachings and choreography for shows. Twice a year, Madison Ballroom coordinates shows with performances by students and instructors. Each week, private lessons and group classes for every level are scheduled for singles and couples of all ages. Saturday dance parties from 8-10pm are open to the public and cost only $5.00 per person.
