Since 1979, President Tracy Honea of Honea Mitsubishi has focused on offering vehicles at the right price, providing the right selection, and being right around the corner. The Honea family started in the business as an independent dealer and sold vehicles out of their home. Over the years, Tracy and his family continued working from their home on Highway 431. With each growth spurt, the business moved up to a separate shop, and then a mobile unit until the current facility was built in 2000. Then in 2002, the dealership joined the Mitsubishi franchise. "My family started selling cars on consignment out of our front yard, so I literally grew up around the business," he recalls. "We decided to join the Mitsubishi family and it has been great."

A unique part of Honea Mitsubishi is its facility. Much different from standard car dealership buildings, the Honea facility is similar to a combination of a Cracker Barrel restaurant and a cedar vacation retreat. "Our building has personality and we have a laid back atmosphere here," Tracy states. "Customers will find rocking chairs on the front porch, a gold fish pond, TVs and couches, a play area, etc. Our office makes customers feel welcome and at ease."

Honea Mitsubishi specializes in the sale and service of new and pre-owned Mitsubishi vehicles, as well as a wide assortment of vehicles to fit any budget. In addition, the company sells EZ-GO golf carts and offers rental services. Some of the top Mitsubishi models include the Lancer, Gallant, Eclipse, Eclipse Spyder, Lancer Evo, Outlander, Endeavor, and Raider truck. Mitsubishi offers a variety of warranties, such as a 10-year/100,000-mile power train warranty.

As one of the top Mitsubishi franchises in the country, Honea Mitsubishi has earned the company’s Diamond Chapter of Excellence for the last four years. This status is achieved through service and sales satisfaction, and is awarded to less than 15 percent of dealers. Honea Mitsubishi has also received the State Quality Dealer of the Year by the Alabama Independent Automobile Dealers Association in 2000.
